ABOUT NEIGHBORS
Welcome to NEIGH-BORS, located in Pendleton, Oregon, home of the Real West!
Pendleton is in Eastern Oregon, centrally located between Boise ID, Spokane WA, and Portland OR. It makes for a convenient and welcome stopover when you're traveling north to south or east to west.
NEIGH-BORS Horse Motel B & B is located on the north end of Pendleton, home of the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up (second full week in September). It's an easy ride to the Round-Up Grounds, just down the hill, across the bridge, and along the river to the site of the greatest four-day outdoor rodeo in the world.
NEIGH-BORS is a short distance from I-84, and just off Highway 37.
NEIGH-BORS is a no-smoking facility.
MEET THE HOSTS
MaryAlice and Bob Ridgway are your hosts. MaryAlice grew up on the back of a horse, and Bob grew up on a football field. Today Bob is the Number One Stable Boy, and MaryAlice takes care of the horses. Bob builds the fences and MaryAlice jumps them.
MaryAlice uses the natural horsemanship methods of communicating with horses. She has attended and hosted clinics to better understand the horse's mind, and as Ray Hunt says, “I'm here for the horse – to help him get a better deal.”
Clancy, the resident Lab-Chesapeake-Traveling Dad dog, is playful and loves company.
